Mr. Venkata S Iyer is the CEO and founder of Apdecs. After graduating from University of Mumbai, he started his IT career in 1985 and worked in various capacities in organisations like Mafatlal, Patni and ICICI Lombard. His experience profile is summarised below:

	Over 25 years of experience in the IT industry ranging from development to managing software projects. .

	Well versed with application development life-cycle activities including post-implementation support.

	Serviced overseas clients in US, Canada, Gulf and Netherlands, at onsite and offshore.

	Domain exposure in BFSI covering insurance (life and non-life), and 401k areas, in onsite and offshore environments.

	Delivered projects in Mainframe, Unix, Vax and Windows platforms, complying to ISO-9001 and SEI CMMi-5 quality methodologies.

	Conducted internal audits for software projects.

	Participated in various leadership development programmes.

Demonstrated the onsite-offshore model for a large insurance company in US which led to multiple projects being awarded by the customer. Assisted the customer in conversion of data (approx 10 million policies) and retrofitting of the code from legacy systems to a new insurance system. This helped the customer reduce cost on administration of policies from multiple systems to a single system.

Managed and implemented the health claims system for one of the leading general insurance company in India. The scope included

claims for companies who cover employees under group insurance, and retail customers. The system helped the insurance company to register and process cashless and re-imbursement claims.

Led a team that provided maintenance and support for applications in the 401K for a large financial institution based in USA. This helped the institution to efficiently service the 401K needs of its customers.

Developed a Fixed Deposit Accounting system which helped a leasing and finance company in India to manage fixed deposits from customers. Timely payments of interests to deposit holders enabled the company to receive an A+ rating from CRISIL. The rating also helped the company to get more deposits from customers.

Implemented banking monitoring project in Qatar which enabled the Qatar Monetary Agency to monitor performance of banks and to determine whether the banks were complying with the regulations as laid down by the agency.

Developed Oracle PL/SQL code generator that significantly reduced development efforts for a material testing project for Ministry of Public Works, Qatar.

Managed 24x7 support projects for a large bank based in Netherlands. The support activities helped the customer resolve incidents in a timely manner.

Was part of the team that was presented with a team award for providing implementation support to a large insurance project for GE Financial Assurance, USA.

Special Appreciation Award for excellent performance in SEI CMMi-5 implementation.

Certificate of Appreciation from GE Financial Assurance, USA, for outstanding efforts in onsite and offshore project/task co-ordination for insurance and other systems.
